Hello, my name is Sue L. Thank you for visiting my page. I’m an Intuitive Tarot card reader and have read Tarot for many years, for family and friends, private readings, Psychic Fairs and working on the phone lines. The Tarot came into my life at a time when life was throwing me one challenge after another. The cards gave me an insight into issues I was facing and others that might occur along my journey. I believe the Tarot helps us to see into the future in as much as letting us know what is likely to happen or how we can help ourselves,
What do you like most about giving readings to clients?
I like the interaction with others and knowing it’s a safe place for them to be open without being judged when others around them wouldn’t understand. Knowing that when people are ‘stuck’ or at a crossroads in their life, that I, along with the power of the Tarot can provide a light at the end of the tunnel for tomorrow, where it can’t be seen by them today. It’s nice to share their journey and hear of their progress along the way.
How would you say you are typical of your star sign?
I’m an Aquarian. They say that Aquarians don’t like to just follow the crowd, they make up their own minds, then stick to it. They’re independent and self-sufficient. Born in the winter, they are resilient. They are kind and compassionate. I know all my friends and family would agree that I am all of that. Aquarians can be a bit quirky and they say that being impulsive is one of their weaknesses, which is true for me, but I think my main weakness is chocolate and cake!
When do you remember being first aware of your gift?
I never thought of myself having a ‘gift’, but one day at a really challenging point in my life I was ‘drawn’ to go inside a shop selling crystals and paraphernalia. Never having shown any interest before, for some unknown reason I came out with a set of Tarot cards! I was told by a reader years later that I had been given the ‘gift’ by an ancestor, a Sage. I guess it must be true because I’m here sharing it with you! I was told to trust in my Tarot cards, and that is what I do and the 'gift' just blends in with them. Reflecting back on my journey over the years, my psychic abilities were there from childhood, I just didn’t recognise them as that then.
What is your most memorable experience with a client?
Over the years I’ve had so many that come to mind for their own special reasons, and I wish I could tell you about all of them. There is one in particular that I will never forget. For confidentiality reasons I won’t give all of the details. At that time I was relatively new at reading for others outside of my friends and family. The reading seemed to be going really well, that is until the wisdom of the Tarot signified a house move for the client, in the near future, rather than years away. Obviously I shared that with the client and they replied that I was totally wrong! They were adamant it wasn’t going to happen and provided their reasons why, which I fully understood thinking even I wouldn’t be moving house for the same reasons. But it was there, I couldn’t take it back! My trust in the Tarot and its message was so strong, I politely asked the client to take it with them and keep it in mind. After the call I felt awful, more so for the client. Could I have got it so wrong and left them feeling let down by their reading, did they come off the phone thinking ‘well, that was rubbish’? Three months later the client came back to me, reminding me of a few details and how they’d disagreed. Yes, I remembered it well! The client told me that they had to come back to tell me they’d moved house! I don’t know who out of the two of us was more surprised, they were so adamant there wasn't going to be any house move. The client shared that there were some details in the reading she could relate to at the time, but others that made no sense at all, not until the ‘sudden’ house move, and then it all made sense to them. I wish I could give more detail to show you how the cards and ‘random’ details can mean nothing at the time, but mean everything when something happens and then their message all falls into place, as it did in their case.
What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?
My life experiences, work roles in the community and life's challenges have taken me along a journey that enables me to be empathetic towards others. Over the years these experiences along with Tarot in my life is how my ‘gift’ has developed. Needing to be a main Carer for my parents I had to break from Tarot for 9 years. Anyone who is or has been a main Carer will know the physical, mental and emotional energy this takes and doesn’t leave room for much else. They’ve both passed away now and Tarot is back in my life. All of this journey so far has been my training, I’m just hoping the rest of my journey has less bumps and fewer curve balls in it!
What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?
I think the most important thing to remember is to be open minded and receptive to what the Tarot has to say. The cards won’t always tell you what you want to hear, but what you need to hear at that time. Have a pen and paper to take notes, it’s good to look back and reflect on them, not everything makes sense at first but might do later. Everyone has free will and the choices or decisions you make can alter the path you’re meant to be going along. You will ‘get there’, it might just take longer. For those thinking about having a reading for the first time, there is nothing to fear.
Thank you Sue for an honest and insightful reading. I really appreciate the guidance given. I will update you as to how I am getting on. A.
