I was always psychic and as a child, could see and hear spirits, including ghosts, nature spirits and 'lights' or orbs. By the time I'd got to adolescence, I'd learned to keep quiet about it and realized that adults didn’t understand and even felt threatened by it. I would have conversations with children in spirit, my grandparents who had both passed and was particularly visual, so I could see the spirit I was talking to in my mind’s eye and was aware of my guides, including a younger sister my mother would have had, who I called Marsha. This early contact lead to a desire to discover as much as I could about this other realm and made it my life long mission to help others make that connection too.
What do you like most about giving readings to clients?
I love being able to connect to my clients on a spiritual level, in particular being able to access their guides and loved ones who have passed over and bring forward their messages of love, encouragement and support, especially when times are challenging. Despite the proliferation of social media and the constant need to seem successful, life can be difficult sometimes, it's easy to think that everyone else it having a great time or doing better than you when that's just not true. I believe and know from experience that your spirit guides and loved ones are always with you and want to hold you in their unconditional love. I am proud to be able to make this connection possible and witness the transformation that can take place when a client experiences spirit communication.
How would you say you are typical of your star sign?
I like being a kind and creative person who finds people endlessly fascinating and take pride in fairness and honesty. As someone who has spent many years studying astrology, including qualifications at the London College of Astrology, I would say that I’m a good mix of the elements and signs. It is true we are never just one sun sign and that you need to look at the whole chart, including current and previous transits to understand the individual. The birth chart really is like a road map or blueprint of your karmic journey in this life, and then it’s up to you what you do with that!
When do you remember being first aware of your gift?
I first remember being aware of my gift when I was visiting my grandfather’s grave with my mother (this was on the anniversary of his death in a car accident 2 years before). I was 6 years old and as we got up to leave, for some reason I stayed a bit longer and without thinking, said out loud ‘Nanna says she loves you Lulu’ It freaked my mum out at the time, as my grandmother (her mother) was used to calling her 'Lulu’ as a term of affection (her name is Lucy); since she had died a few years before I was born, there’s no way I could have known! I heard her speaking to me loud and clear, and as we drove home my mum asked me how I’d done this and I couldn't explain it. To me it was just something that happened; it got me wondering if I could learn how to do it more.
What is your most memorable experience with a client?
A recent experience during a reading involved a lady who had recently lost her partner to illness. He had been diagnosed in a period of just a few months and it had been a shock for her. She was understandably going through the pain of loss and the grieving process for the life she felt she would have had. I could see in my mind’s eye that in the near future, she would soon be going on a cruise and I could picture her standing on the deck and releasing her attachment to her loved one and deciding to go forward with her life whilst looking into the sunset. I also could see that she would meet a new partner on this cruise and although her new partner would be a very different type, he would provide her with a good life and the stability she craved. When told this, she was disbelieving, as she had no plans to go on a cruise and said she could never let go of the memory of her previous love. I also told her that she had recently found a feather and it was her loved ones spirit communicating with her he was with her and supported her in moving on and wanted her to be happy. She admitted that she'd found a feather a couple of weeks before and was able to release her sadness a bit on having the continuation of their love confirmed.
A few months later, the sad and rather tired lady that I met the first time came for another reading. This time round she was positively glowing and immediately told me that she had indeed been offered a deal on a cruise from a friend who couldn't go (she said when she was offered the ticket, although it's not the kind of holiday she would normally take, she knew she had to take up the offer) and had meet a nice man during the 10 day excursion. She said that they had started off as friends, but after a few months realised they wanted to be together and he had moved to be with her.
She ended the reading by saying that although she still missed and thought of her partner, she realised he was in a better place and was even able to see that had she been able to 'get together' with her previous boyfriend, it may not have worked out as although their relationship was very passionate, they were very different. To see her so happy and contented was marvellous and a really good example of why I love what I do.
What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?
I have studied and used Tarot cards for 25 and currently have 6 decks I regularly use. I like reading angel cards and so on, but tarot takes a long time to master and the real skill in is knowing how to read the cards together, rather than just the individual meanings. Tarot is just another tool for accessing psychic guidance and they are useful in that they are specifically predictive, meaning they can pinpoint actions and motives relating to other people, situations and outcomes in your life when you need to do a bit of investigating or problem solving. I have always known them to be accurate and although psychic and mediumship skills are at the core of my readings, Tarot and angel cards add another dimension and help predict and problem solve in detail.
What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?
To choose a reader who you feel you can trust and who has a proven track record, someone who has spent time studying and developing their gifts and who is able to rely on a variety of resources to give you the information you need. It's also important to with someone who has a good code of ethics, such as confidentiality and respecting the rights of each individual to make their own choices in life. In short, an adviser who is on a spiritual journey themselves.
Saskia picked up on quite a few factors in my current situation and helped me to make some difficult decisions about a relationship. Her insights gave me peace of mind that my instincts were right. I would definitely recommend calling her.
