Hi. I'm Robert, I'm in my 40s and live in Kent with my wonderful wife and crazy cat. I have always been sensitive. Most of my childhood was spent growing up in two houses, both of which were extremely haunted. While this was scary at the time, I look back and see it as an incredible blessing; it was a time of learning and deepening connections with the spirit world. My primary tool for conducting readings is my trusty tarot deck. I am an extremely instinctive and 'flowing' reader; I will often not 'think' about a choice of spread, rather let you - my client - or my guides and the cards steer the reading. However, I also love doing a broad reading for a new client as I find it is a wonderful way to get to know someone and start a truly meaningful conversation. After an initial assessment of the cards, as my connection with you deepens, I will start to receive messages from my guides and insights into your situation through the 'clairs'. This can be anything from feelings, thoughts, emotions, physical touches or pains to hearing or seeing messages. I am also a reiki master practitioner and since my attunement my connection with spirit and the cards has grown beyond even my own understanding! I am amazed and so incredibly grateful. Previously, I have had a rewarding career in HR as a recruitment and training manager for a large UK company. I am also a trained mental health first aider. Now I see that my whole life is about helping others and am told I do this best with my wonderful gifts. Something fun about me... my most incredible experiences so far all happened in one night-long vigil at Bodmin Jail in Cornwall. There (to the amusement of my wife), I was groped by a female spirit and (less amusing) had to be helped out of one room when i lost my sight and could feel a rope tightening around my neck!
What do you like most about giving readings to clients?
My favourite thing about giving readings to clients would be the incredible moments of validation! Not just because I see how valuable they are to my clients, but also because they're valuable to me; they are constant reminders that yes, i am on the right path, there is more to our wonderful mysterious world and we are all connected; not just to each other, but to our loved ones, our teachers and the energy that connects us all.
How would you say you are typical of your star sign?
Ha! Whenever I'm asked this, I remember a mug I had as a kid. It was a Pisces mug, obviously, and read "falls deeply and permanently in love" - true! As well as this, I am incredibly musical and a keen singer-songwriter, painter and writer; so, your classic artistic fish. I am passionate about people and will always make a bee-line for the quiet person in the corner; I believe that we are all born equal and everyone's voice should be heard and we all have a story to tell.
When do you remember being first aware of your gift?
I'm afraid this isn't necessarily a 'fond' memory. Two moments come to mind; as a child growing up in a very haunted flat in London, I do remember the moment I realised that mine wasn't a 'normal' home, not every home is haunted and that mine was haunted by an unfriendly spirit. I used to practice the 'speed run' from my light switch to under the duvet and with good reason. As I grew up, I learned to protect myself and I began to sense and understand it more, taking those sensitivities out into the world with me. My second memory is of my mum catching me deep in conversation with someone at the kitchen table who "wasn't there" when I was running late for school one morning. Embarrassing!
What is your most memorable experience with a client?
I've had some wonderful, unforgettable experiences with clients, but a recent favourite is this one... I was doing a telephone reading for a client at the other end of the country. She was worrying about work and her career and considering packing it all in. The reading was going well, but we hadn't had a 'wow!' moment. It was almost as if Spirit sensed this, because suddenly I got three strong and very random images: an ironing board, a car and a red blanket. I went out on a limb and asked if these meant anything to her (this was a real detour in the conversation!). She sounded shocked and said "my partner has just taken our ironing board out to the car to take to the skip"! She then sent me a photo; she was lying on her sofa under a new red blanket. I cherish these moments of validation with clients.
What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?
As summarised above, my clairaudience and clairsentience are my strongest gifts. Reiki has also had a great impact on my readings and the speed and accuracy of my readings and messages shows this. I am naturally curious and inclusive in my spiritual beliefs and think that all of us have gifts to be awakened or developed. I also believe that we all have our guides, spirits and angels; they're all ready to help teach, love and protect us. All we need to do is invite them to do so. While Tarot is at the core of my work, I use crystals, a pendulum and my psychic sensitivities to strengthen my connection with Spirit and share their messages with you.
What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?
I would say that the most important thing to consider now that you have decided to have a reading is this: be kind to yourself. You deserve this. And why on earth would you not want to connect with your wonderful relatives, friends, guides and angels when they are all waiting to share love and wisdom with you. I can't wait to meet you.
Incredibly empathetic soul, who was able to connect on a deep level, naturally pick on and give validation to the most important issue I had at this time. Thank you for the reading, I feel empowered in my future steps thanks to your reading.
