Peder's Profile

My name is Peder which is a Cornish variation of Peter. I was born on the cusp of Virgo/Libra which gives me the elemental qualities of both a grounding Earth Sign of practicality and the element of Air for balance and fairness. I started Reading Tarot through the influence of my Irish Grandmother, who would Read the cards and palms of local woman in the village where she lived. My Grandmother would tell me stories while showing me the Tarot cards. Each card told its own story that I remember to this day. The young Fool setting out on his bold new adventures, meeting the wise High Priestess, The resourceful Magician and the challenges of Death and The Devil! In later life, my study of the Tarot became not only an intuitive process but also an academic one. I studied for a Diploma in Tarot Reading, specialising in The Kabbala and Tree of Life. This has given my Readings more structure, allowing the symbolism within the cards to truly speak to me and connect with my clients.

What do you like most about giving readings to clients?

I enjoy hearing my client’s story during a Reading. I believe that each turn of a card allows the Respondent emotional catharsis, tapping into the subconscious and exploring long forgotten memories, skills and strengths possessed by the Respondent. I rarely predict the future through Tarot, allowing the cards to present the Respondent with choices through self-improvement. Everything is in flux; nothing is fixed, and choice is everything.

How would you say you are typical of your star sign?

As previously stated, sitting on the cusp of two strong but often contradictory signs give me both a desire for stability through my Virgoan Earth element and the Freedom and free flowing imagination of my Libra Air elemental sign. Libra allows me to be imaginative, Virgo gives me a more practical outlook on life.

When do you remember being first aware of your gift?

I first started Reading the Tarot at Parties for Friends before Reading and teaching Tarot Reading full time. I have always carried a pack of Tarot cards with me and believe that I have about 200 packs in my collection. I always use my Grandmothers Rider Waite pack for my online Reading, but I also have an affinity with Crows, so I often use Tarot featuring this beautiful bird. In truth I do not believe there has ever been a time when Tarot was not a part of my life.

What is your most memorable experience with a client?

Every call with every client is a memorable experience. I remember every client, their story and situation. A good memory is essential in building up a rapport with a client. I have worked online with Clients from all over the World from Los Angles to Sydney, every Caller unique and interesting.

What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?

I trained as both a Psychiatric and General Nurse, I retired several years ago to become a full time, Artist. Both my previous professional career in Health and my present artistic pursuits serve my vocation as a Reader of Tarot very well.

What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?

Never follow always lead, above and beyond everything else the Tarot serves as a confirmation of personal choice. The Tarot and those good Readers who study the blessed Tarot will never tell you what you should or shouldn't do. The Tarot can present options and choices, show you various scenarios and even predict the most likely outcome of choices to be made. but nothing is certain, nothing is fixed, personal choice and outside influences will always alter a Reading and predicted outcome. I tell my clients not to take the Tarot too seriously and never to use the Tarot to make that ultimate decision. Decisions on career and Relationships should always be based on common sense, facts and individual circumstances, not on the turn-of a card!
