Hi! Thanks for reading my profile. I am a Tarot reader with a lifelong interest in divination and magic. I was raised Catholic and converted to Buddhism in my 20s. I was a Buddhist monk for 7 years returning to lay-life in 2011. Since then I have studied and deepened my knowledge and practice in both the esoteric and the occult arts. I have been using Tarot since my teen years and am an accredited reader with the Tarot Association of the British Isles (TABI). I also have a certificate in Counselling skills from the Westminster Pastoral Foundation and have been involved in pastoral care for many years. I also teach mindfulness and meditation to people of many faiths and none. It is my hope that I may use my skills as a helper and Tarot reader to help you with your life decisions. My personal view of what the Tarot does, is that it acts as an oracle, that is, it gives a new perspective to you on whatever matter is of concern so that you can make better decisions in life. It gives me great satisfaction to help people in this way.
What do you like most about giving readings to clients?
For me, it is about helping people make their own decisions and to see them flourish. I'm a great believer that by helping others we help ourselves and can feel fulfilled in this life. A reading works best when there is a dialogue between the Tarot oracle, the client and the card reader. Quite often problems arise because of how we look at a situation. What an oracle can give is a different perspective, a different 'story' that helps us understand the problems we face in life as a journey that offers us opportunities to grow spiritually as human beings towards fulfilment.
How would you say you are typical of your star sign?
I have Sagittarius as my sun sign. I do have 'Sagi' traits inasmuch as I studied philosophy at university and enjoy teaching others and creating explanations for complex ideas. Also my temperament is quite laid back, which is another trait of this sign.
When do you remember being first aware of your gift?
When I first started using Tarot as a teenager I was amazed at how the cards that turned up kept mirroring the situations that my friends were wanting answers for! The cards help shape the intuitive process, this helped me understand that the 'inner' and 'outer' world are interconnected.
What is your most memorable experience with a client?
It was someone who was having problems with a loan shark and she was getting worried about what might happen. I could see from the cards that there was help available from someone who promised her some money to help pay this off. It worked out well for her in the end. There was an interesting synchronicity too, for her reading I used a Marseilles Tarot pack which at the time was a new acquisition and she was in Marseilles at the time! She took this as an omen that things would work out for her.
What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?
As mentioned at the beginning, I have a certificate in counselling skills and many years working in pastoral care talking to people about their problems. This gives me an understanding that 'helping' is not the same as giving advice, it is about exploring the situation with the client. I believe we all have a divine spark in each of us and our spiritual journey helps each of us listen to that 'inner helper' who can guide us through life.
What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?
Take time to formulate what it is that you want to know. Your question is important, as it tells the Tarot how you see yourself in your life-situation. It also helps you think through what it is that you are really wanting from life, right now.
