Since I very was small I had been aware that my beloved grandmother read Tarot cards and naturally I was interested and wanted to know more. As I grew older she would allow me to watch, then shuffle them for her eventually learn by watching. When I was a teenager she taught me how to begin to use the cards and do readings with her, since then I have continued learning and practising. My grandmother has since passed, but she remains with me as a spiritual guide and mentor.
What do you like most about giving readings to clients?
The thing I enjoy most about readings is when a client really identifies with what the reading, and feels a new awareness of how to proceed with their situation. Its a lovely feeling to know I've helped and given them some clarity with which to move forward.
How would you say you are typical of your star sign?
I am a Virgo, so I'd say in some ways yes and some ways no. I am practical and tidy - I like things to fit, to be finished up nicely. However I can be also be scatter-brained, clumsy and a bit forgetful. I am sensitive, loyal and creative which are very Virgo characteristics. I'm a bit Earth and a bit Air.
When do you remember being first aware of your gift?
When I first began reading Tarot cards I realised quite quickly that I had a gift, it was a shock and a thrill and I was immediately taken with it and wanted to learn everything about Tarot. I was mentored by my Grandmother who slowed me down, and told me to take my time, as it is an ongoing process to learn the meanings of the cards, and she was right, I believe the learning carries on today and probably will for a long time.
What is your most memorable experience with a client?
What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?
I think that growing up with Tarot in my life has helped me understand the responsibility of being a reader. To listen without judgement, to sometimes read between the lines of a question to see what someone is asking and why, to not answer things that can't be answered so as not to disappoint and mainly just to be an ethical and kind reader. Becoming a parent has also increased my intuitive powers, I am in tune with other peoples feelings even more now I have two children. I hope to show them how to become Tarot readers too in good time, they enjoy watching and helping me shuffle the cards like I did when I was younger.
What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?
The most important thing to consider when having a reading is to be completely open with the question if you have something specific to ask. Don't be afraid to be totally honest as a clear question will give a clear answer, and a good reader will never judge.
