I have always felt a little "different" and was sometimes surprised by the feelings I experienced and the things I saw, often a fraction before they actually happened. Maturity has made me come to appreciate this is actually a special gift to nurture, and cherish, not fear. I strongly believe I should share this ability and use it for goodness and healing. I have helped many over the years by offering guidance and assisting them to a better future by their own self-awareness and actions.
What do you like most about giving readings to clients?
The feeling that a person, often in a state of turmoil can find a little peace of mind and feel more empowered to go forward with new momentum, the fact I may have helped them on this journey is a very satisfying and fulfilling one. Hope is a very valuable thing and we all need some hope and comfort.
How would you say you are typical of your star sign?
Yes, I am very much a Libran! I always see both sides of an issue and try to find that fine balance to ease conflict. I have learned over the years to recognize this can be a problem if not carefully managed! I tend to avoid conflict, preferring to find a way round than a way through, but I am very self-aware and understand my weaknesses as well as my strengths.
When do you remember being first aware of your gift?
For as long as I can remember, My mother would say " away with the fairies, that child!" in reference to an ability she struggled to understand as I often read her mind, and told her what she was thinking! I did not realise then it was a special gift, this knowledge has come in later years.
What is your most memorable experience with a client?
I am a committed animal lover and a client had lost her beloved cat. By chance, I had a similar experience myself shortly before I connected with her. I was able to reassure her that our pets wait, free of pain and sickness, at the rainbow bridge, for the day we are all reunited with those who have passed, be they animal or human. It is easy to underestimate the effect of the passing of an animal, but I believe I was able to bring this lady great peace and reassurance. The very soft patter of paws at night and the sudden movement of a curtain...the spirit is not so very far away.
What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?
I now work as a family mediator and this job involves great listening skills without being judgemental. It is about encouraging and leading people out of conflict and to a better place, even if not to a perfect one. I have had a long career in the public sector including the rather grim task of working in end-of-life care. This has made me very sensitive to people who are coping with the most difficult times of their lives. How important a listening ear can be.
What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?
Whether they are prepared to hear things they may not fully wish to hear. How they may feel if the news is not that a relationship will be resumed or a promotion forthcoming. People are usually looking for reassurance all is going to be ok, and while there is no need to be cruel, giving too much false hope is also not the right way to go. They need to be open to considering fresh priorities in life and new approaches to things.
