I often feel that there is something intrinsic in having grown up during the 1970's in a small village in the Pennines, surrounded by fields and forests when we still had distinct seasons and where nature was a daily blessing, which brought out the gift in me. Feeling the wind stroke the tall grass in the fields, watching the eddies spiral into the river and chasing the voices in the deep woodland, it was always so alive and that feeling stayed with me all my life. I first started reading the Tarot in the mid 1980's and have since been reading for more than 30 years, over half of which has been professionally, both in the UK and internationally. The Tarot has become something deeply personal to me, more than a parlour game, rather a genuine method to gain deeper insights into our own being and our connectedness with each other.
What do you like most about giving readings to clients?
In uncertain times we should seek good advice and I consider it a privilege when someone chooses me to help them. Over the years I have been able to help hundreds find some clarity with their situations and I've made many dear friends in the process. There isn't any question which is too big or small, no single reading is worth any less than all of the others put together. We are all associated and equals in this life so when something is concerning you I'd love to be able to help.
How would you say you are typical of your star sign?
I'm not convinced that Librans are necessarily balanced but being able to juggle a few ideas at the same time or weigh up several situations together is a real Libran talent.
When do you remember being first aware of your gift?
From as early as I can remember it was always there and I just thought that it was the same for everyone, that everyone could see, hear and smell things the same way I could. My Mother, who always encouraged and supported my ability said it came from the Gypsy side of her Mother's family.
What is your most memorable experience with a client?
All of my readings and individuals are equally important and memorable, often spanning weeks, months or years between readings and often I have read again for many clients after some years and it always feels as if we had just continued from the previous reading. I prefer not to disclose my clients' details to anyone and always look forward to seeing their progress when we reconnect
What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?
I also write about the Tarot and teach a study group although I feel that my most important qualifications are my own life experiences which have taught me to be patient, kind, gentle and compassionate.
What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?
Initially I would say that sometimes getting a reading can be like checking your answerphone messages; you might be expecting one particular message but there might have been a few others left before you get to that one. These will often shed light on the whole situation and answer your first question anyway. Importantly you should keep an open mind and an open heart. I'm here to help and I'm not going to tell you off or judge you, that's not my job. Confidentiality is top for me and I never discuss anyone's readings with anyone else.
