Hello lovelies! My name is Ginger, and I'm a natural-born medium. I come from a line of mediums: my maternal great grandmother was a respected trance medium and my mother possesses the gift as well. I've been aware of my gift from a very young age and took to reading Tarot like a duck takes to water when I was 14 years old - I used to get in trouble at school for conducting readings during lunchtime! The Tarot was how I first began to understand and hone my gift, and so this has led to me becoming passionate about the art of reading Tarot, which I have even taught classes on. My preferred decks of choice are the Rider Waite and Sibilla della Zingara decks, which I use in conjunction with one another. For the remainder of my teens I didn't really venture outside of Tarot, but as soon as I entered my twenties I started to develop my mediumship abilities outside of what came uncontrolled and naturally. When I was 21 I joined a Circle - which I still attend weekly today - and it was through doing this that my mediumship abilities truly began to develop and flourish. I now regularly conduct private readings through which I practice hands-free mediumship and offer spiritual healing, as well as my beloved Tarot.
What do you like most about giving readings to clients?
I love offering spiritual truth, evidence and clarity to my clients. Having a reading with a true medium can be such a comforting and cathartic experience which offers closure, and to be able to help people in that way is truly such an honour and a privilege. I believe it is our duty as psychics and mediums to help people, and when we succeed in this we realise that our gift is a blessing.
How would you say you are typical of your star sign?
Ha! I'm not a typical Aries where the more aggressive and dominant traits of my star sign are concerned. However, I truly believe this is because my fire is somewhat washed out by the fact that both my Rising and Moon signs are Water signs - Cancer and Scorpio, respectively. I relate to the sensitive traits of Cancer and the curious side of Scorpio, however, I do have to admit that once I set my mind to something, I obsess over it until my goal is accomplished, which is very typical of the passionate and determined Aries traits.
When do you remember being first aware of your gift?
My first encounter with spirit occurred when I was only 4 years old. I was walking across my landing when I noticed a somewhat translucent Labrador with a shining white light (aura) surrounding her sat at the bottom of my stairs. I greeted her, and she barked in response, however rather than hearing the bark externally I heard it inside my head. Confused, I went to my mother and babbled excitedly about how we now had a pet dog. After I told her the full story, she realised that I had inherited the gift both her and her grandmother possessed.
What is your most memorable experience with a client?
I won't go into full detail because I truly believe in client confidentiality, however, I once had a reading with a gentleman where I picked up his grandfather who showed me the manner in which he passed. When I relayed the information to him, the gentleman was stunned because I had confirmed the exact manner of foul play that his family had always suspected was behind his grandfather's death, despite his "official" cause of death being something entirely different. I was shocked!
What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?
By attending a weekly Circle and studying under a well-respected physical medium, I truly believe I have gained a vast wealth of knowledge and understanding of the spirit that has helped me make sense of the work I do. To be able to confidently answer questions of the spirit is something I take pride in. I also count my family's history with this gift as a blessing, as I was able to understand an integral part of myself without being judged. I'm also very empathetic and love helping people, and so I try to create a soothing and healing atmosphere for every single one of my clients.
What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?
The one thing I always warn people is that spirit always tells people what they NEED to hear, rather than what they want to. This is not a bad thing as such, but rather it is honest. I also think people need to understand that while communicating with spirit, it is a very fragile connection in which the medium is essentially piecing a puzzle together and that it takes a lot of energy both spirit side and our side to make work. I would also encourage a client to do their research before choosing a medium or psychic, as we are all gifted in different ways. It is not a universal gift and we all have different talents and ways in which we pick up the spirit.
