For as long as I can remember I have been able to feel people's feelings. However my abilities began to fully develop when I bought a Tarot deck (aged 19) - I still have the same deck 31 years later. I often read for friends who enjoy the insights I provide. My cards give the reading structure and my empath abilities combine together to yield insight and clarity.
What do you like most about giving readings to clients?
There is something amazing about everyone I read for and I feel immense joy when I connect with them on an empathic level. It‘s like a silent invitation into their world right now; what is important to them and helping them understand their experience. Having spiritual abilities carry a large responsibility and I take this very seriously. People are precious and so are their feelings. Both need to be treated with great care and sensitivity.
How would you say you are typical of your star sign?
I'm a Taurus so I treasure my family and friends. Fiercely loyal and compassionate. I love nature and seeing beauty in the tiniest of things. A little bit eccentric but I am happy to be different.
When do you remember being first aware of your gift?
I was at junior school and one of my teachers was smiling brightly giving an assembly. The topic was "Kindness". Despite her enthusiastic performance - I started to feel really sad and empty. So much so, I started to cry. At the end of the assembly she called me over and asked why I was upset. I described to her these feelings and that I thought she was feeling them too. After this, I began to see people's feelings and would sense where happiness/upset/grief was in a room. It was overwhelming initially, but I am now adept at channeling these feelings so I don't get bombarded. As I have got older, I seem to be able to tune in to most people I meet and find myself saying things to them that make no sense to me - but it totally resonates with them. People often say they feel I am incredibly accurate and on point when I read the Tarot Deck for them. This makes me very happy.
What is your most memorable experience with a client?
I have a different conversation with my Tarot Deck each time I read for someone. However, I read for a woman who I sensed was waiting patiently for something/someone. I saw her looking at a huge clock on a wall for hours. I explained this and she looked down shaking her head. The Tarot indicated it was man. I also felt a deep feeling of disappointment and said to her that this man was coming in and out of her life. It turned out she had been having an affair for 15 years and was waiting for this man to commit to her. It was the strongest connection I have ever felt. She still asks for readings from me and has stopped waiting for him.
What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?
I strive for excellence in everything I do so providing readings I see as a privilege. As a people person - I like to make everyone feel special and this is evident in my readings. My sole focus is on that person for the time we have. I have spent my entire career working in service to others and often seeing them in very unfortunate situations. Sometimes all they need is another perspective to begin again tomorrow.
What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?
That they come to a reading with an open mind and heart. Also an understanding that I am connecting with them on a spiritual level so I cannot be precise or specific. As an Empath - I will get an acute sense of what is in their world right now.
I felt drawn to Bernadette from reading her profile which had a sincerity, simply stated. I was anxious about beginning a new job role tomorrow and this anxiety had brought up other buried stuff. Bernadette saw this clearly in the reading through lots of pentacle cards, together with my deeper concerns. She had a genuine, strong connection and she saw some lovely, positive developments within this new work environment. She also shared with me the guidance she was given around my 'buriedsome approach my future manager
