Interesting and varied would best describe my own spiritual journey. It's true to say that it includes many twists and turns. Looking over my learning and experience, three major influences stand out: Buddhism, Native American Shamanism and Wicca. My chosen tool for divination is Tarot. Initially I became acquainted with Tarot through workshops and having my cards read. During my first visit to Glastonbury I bought my very first Tarot deck. I had been looking forward to this for ages! For nearly three years gave myself nightly tarot readings which I jotted down. Later I would compare the results by consulting books on Tarot. I noticed my progress and my intuition increasing, which led to me giving face to face readings for six years. This led to me moving over to reading Tarot "on the phone" for a further six years before joining Psychic Sofa.
What do you like most about giving readings to clients?
Above all I like to help an other especially through consulting the higher wisdom of the Tarot. An example comes to mind. At times we all can feel that a certain situation is an impossible knot to untie. It seems that way when we are embroiled and cannot see the wood for the trees! Often a Tarot reading helps us to see the situation from a different viewpoint. In turn the hitch soon unravels and we are back on track again!
How would you say you are typical of your star sign?
My earlier career entailed photography and displaying luxury merchandise, I leaned naturally towards this arena. Venus is the planet of artistic creativity and is the also the planet which rules Libra. My Sun sign is Libra and in many ways I am typical of my Sun sign. Having said that, occasionally people assume I am one of the other Air signs, Aquarius.
When do you remember being first aware of your gift?
On our rented black and white TV my family used to enjoy the game show "Take Your Pick". A bank of locked numbered boxes held a few small prizes and one main jackpot prize. The contestants were allowed to pick a number, by answering questions correctly. Each Friday, at the beginning of each show, I intuitively knew which cupboard held the jackpot and loudly declared it! A couple of years later my Grandmother introduced me to horoscopes and nursed my interest. It's worth mentioning that she was a renowned and very accurate tea leaf reader.
What is your most memorable experience with a client?
I have had many memorable readings with clients but I prefer to keep these between myself and the client.
What other experiences or qualifications do you have that you feel compliment your work as a reader?
My understanding and experience in ceremony and meditation help me to bring the spiritual and worldly planes together. My Tarot reading style is non-judgemental and honest yet sympathetic.
What is the most important thing for a person to consider when they decide to have a psychic reading?
A Tarot reading is a three way activity which envolves the client, the Tarot and the reader. So I would encourage any client to join in and take part fully, as the opportunity of a Tarot reading is there to be seised Generally speaking, most people find it easier to focus on their reading at a time when they are alone.
